A trip, in a conversation.
Mezin is four steps you have already done dozens of times across dozens of tabs — only now it’s a single conversation, and Mez handles the parts the tabs don’t talk to each other about.
- Step 01
Tell Mez what you want
A sentence is enough. "Ten days in Portugal in October, $4k for two, shoulder season, more food than museums." Mez asks one or two clarifying questions if anything important is missing — when you want to fly, whether you want to rent a car, whether one of you doesn’t eat seafood — then gets to work.
- Step 02
Mez builds the plan, with real availability
In the same chat, you get a day-by-day itinerary with real hotels at real prices for your dates, a flight pairing that fits your budget, the tours and restaurants that make sense for the time of year, and the rough cost rolled up. Nothing is invented — every recommendation resolves to a record that exists at the moment Mez writes it.
- Step 03
You refine until it fits
Swap a beach day for a wine day. Bump the hotel up a tier. Ask Mez to find something quieter, cheaper, closer to the trams, with a real bathtub. Re-budget the food. Mez updates the whole plan in place — pricing, transit, the lot — without restarting the conversation.
- Step 04
Book directly with the partner
When you’re ready, the booking links take you to Booking.com, GetYourGuide, Viator, or whichever partner is handling that piece. You complete the transaction on their site, under their cancellation terms, with their customer support. We earn a small commission from the partner — at no extra cost to you. That’s how Mezin is funded.
What makes us different from a
general-purpose chatbot?
Live pricing, not training-data pricing
A general chatbot knows hotel prices from whenever its training cutoff was. Mez queries partner APIs at the moment of recommendation — the price you see is the price the partner will quote.
No hallucinated hotels
Mez is constrained to only recommend properties that resolve to a verified inventory record. If a query returns nothing for your dates, the answer is "I have nothing for those dates" — not an invented option.
Curated partners with real customer support
Mez hands you off to known suppliers — Booking.com, GetYourGuide, Viator, and a small set of others — that have real cancellation policies and real humans to escalate to when something goes sideways.
Accountability we can be held to
A general chatbot is a black box you can’t complain to. Mezin has an inbox (hello@mezin.ai), a public affiliate disclosure, and a stated set of editorial principles. When we get a recommendation wrong, you can tell us, and we can fix it.
The ten questions we get most.
What does Mezin cost?
Mezin is free to use. We earn a commission when you book through one of our partner links — that’s the entire business model. There’s no paywall, no premium tier today, and no plan to put planning behind one.
How do you make money, exactly?
Travel suppliers — Booking.com, GetYourGuide, Viator, and others via the Travelpayouts network — pay a referral fee when a booking originates from a Mezin link. The fee comes out of the partner’s margin, not your fare. Full details on the affiliate-disclosure page.
Is my conversation private?
Your chat with Mez is stored against your session so you can come back to a saved plan. We do not sell it, do not share transcripts with third parties beyond the vendors needed to run the product, and do not use it for advertising. See the privacy policy for the long version.
How are recommendations ranked?
In rough order: fit to what you said you wanted, real availability for your dates, current price, the partner’s cancellation terms, and aggregated guest ratings. The commission rate a partner pays is not an input. That’s a deliberate rule, not a marketing line.
What if Mez recommends something that turns out to be unavailable when I try to book?
It can happen — inventory changes between when Mez surfaces a room and when you click book. Tell Mez (or refresh) and he’ll re-query and surface what’s actually available right now. If it’s a Mezin bug rather than normal inventory churn, we’d like to know — email hello@mezin.ai.
Do you take payment? Hold the reservation?
No. We never hold your payment details. The booking is between you and the partner. We hand you off, and the partner’s checkout flow is what closes the loop.
What if I need to cancel or change a booking?
You handle that with the partner you booked with — Booking.com, GetYourGuide, whoever. Their cancellation terms govern. Mez can help you find the right contact information, but the contract for the trip is with them, not with us.
Does Mezin work for group or business travel?
Yes for small groups (up to about eight). Yes for business travel as long as your company is fine with you booking on consumer rates rather than a corporate travel platform. Conferences, team offsites, and weddings are all common use cases.
Can I get a refund if my trip falls through?
Refunds are governed entirely by the partner you booked with. Their cancellation policy is shown on the booking page before you confirm — read it. Mezin doesn’t hold any funds and can’t issue a refund itself.
Why should I trust this over a regular hotel search?
Two reasons. First, the ranking does not optimize for what pays us most — see the affiliate disclosure. Second, the conversation can hold a lot more about you than a filter UI can: your budget, your style, your tolerance for early flights, your one-traveler-doesn’t-eat-seafood. A search box can’t do that.
